To Move or Not to Move... That is the Question.

Last year, AFTER I'd resigned a one year lease with my apartment complex, people started advertising all of these cute little affordable houses, close to vet school, with fenced yards. I was kind of upset because I would have preferred renting a house to being in an apartment anyway. Honestly part of it is because I want to have an easier life as a pet owner. Let the boys out into the yard while I'm getting ready and they'll come in when they are ready. Plus, even though you can still have loud neighbors, they aren't right on top of you- and I mean that literally. The kid above me is always making so much noise, stomping around up there like an elephant on a trampoline. I don't have to worry about whether or not vacuuming at 3am will affect anyone else, or deal with people not picking up their damn dog poop!

But then the fact remains that moving is hard and expensive. You have to get trucks, and have friends willing to help and it is really just a pain in the ass. I'd have to pay new deposits, and redecorate. And my parents will be against it. I mentioned moving before and possibly doing the roommate thing(I really wasn't serious about that, roommates are NOT for me), and they were against it. They like this apartment complex, and the manager and maintainence guys. They feel like it's a safe place, and it is, but I just feel like I want to leave. I want to be in a better place.

so I think i'm going to mention it to them again when I go home. I always consider their input but I am grown and the final decision is mine. Hopefully they will be able to convince them that it was a good idea and find a place, no more than 10 minutes from the vet school, preferably with a fenced yard, and enough space because I have lots of stuff. Hopefully I can find something with a laundry room so the boys don't have to be in their crates during the day, or I guess if it has more than one bedroom they can have the second room although I'd prefer to use that as an office.

Now I just have to decide what to do.
